Overview
Preliminary Market Engagement Ofcom are keen to engage with suppliers with the appropriate expertise to supply a suitable small parabolic dish.
Ofcom are replacing an end-of-life pedestal and controller with a small 90cm parabolic dish installed at our monitoring site in Baldock. Ofcom plan to reinstate this capability with an updated pedestal and parabolic dish measurement system, whilst retaining the capabilities of the current equipment.
The system needs to be controllable through software or an online GUI and able to measure and track selected satellites for example using TLE data. The purpose of this preliminary market engagement exercise is to elicit input from suppliers enabling us to understand and evaluate the different options and solutions available to enable Ofcom to enhance and further develop its satellite monitoring and interference detection capability.
