Overview
The Holborn Enabling Works project comprises land clearance, remediation, bulk earthworks and maritime works specifically to construct a level development platform for subsequent development by a third party. The following elements are envisaged: Bulk excavations Vegetation clearance Fly tipping / asbestos clearance 2 / 3 Maritime works incorporating the demolition of redundant riverside structures and the construction of new sheet pile and combi pile river walls Temporary Works (e.g. cofferdam) Permanent Works to block off a disused graving dock (e.g. concrete retaining structure) Dock inspection & repair Treatment of in-situ silts Dock infilling with as-dug material from elsewhere on site Sealing Remediation Ground obstruction removal In-situ treatment and off site disposal of contaminated soils Capping / hoarding Utility isolations The works will be subject to the Client obtaining the necessary permissions and consents and are envisaged to be procured during late Summer / Autumn 2020 Additional information: Supplier Engagement: South Tyneside Council would like to undertake a market engagement event with organisations interesting in tendering for and delivering these works.
Please note that participation in this engagement event or registration of interest will not give any advantage in this procurement opportunity, but is purely an opportunity to potentially shape the requirements. We will consult with interested parties to get views and comments on the planned approach to market.
