Overview
The objective of this Procurement Process is to establish a framework for the supply of end-user computing (EUC) equipment and associated lifecycle services for Yorkshire Water under CM3550. The framework is intended to support the procurement and management of standard devices and peripherals, rugged devices, network hardware and asset recovery services.
The Contract Opportunity is expected to be structured across four lots: standard devices and peripherals; rugged devices; network hardware; and lifecycle management and asset recovery. The scope may include device and peripheral supply, fulfilment, support and maintenance, repair, reuse and redeployment, refurbishment, and the recovery, remarketing, recycling or secure disposal of end-of-life assets.
The framework is intended to support consistent specifications and governance while enabling competition between suitable suppliers. Call-offs may be made by direct award or mini-competition, depending on the nature and complexity of the requirement.
Additional details
Please refer to the procurement documents for the detailed scope of services, specifications and lot requirements. This Lot covers the supply of standard end-user computing devices and associated peripherals for Yorkshire Water.
This is expected to include laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile phones and tablets, and peripherals such as docking stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, cables and adapters. The Lot is intended to support the procurement of approved device configurations and accessories through the framework, with supplier fulfilment in accordance with the requirements and service levels set out in the procurement documents.
Rugged devices, network hardware and lifecycle management/asset recovery are addressed under separate Lots. This Lot covers the supply of rugged end-user computing devices for Yorkshire Water, principally rugged laptops for use in operational and field environments.
It is expected to include devices such as Panasonic Toughbook models and associated accessories, with fulfilment, warranty and support arrangements as specified in the procurement documents. Any device standards, configurations, accessories and service requirements will be set out in the tender documents.
This Lot covers the supply of network hardware and related equipment for Yorkshire Water. The scope is expected to include network equipment, components and infrastructure, such as routers, cabling and related hardware, as specified in the procurement documents.
Any requirements for installation, configuration, licensing, maintenance or support should be included only if they form part of the final Lot specification. This Lot covers lifecycle and end-of-life services for Yorkshire Water's EUC and related IT assets.
Services may include collection and tracking of retired equipment, assessment and preparation for reuse or resale, refurbishment, remarketing, recycling and secure disposal. The supplier will be expected to report on asset outcomes and any revenue or recovery achieved, in line with the requirements in the procurement documents.
Include secure data erasure or repair services only if they are part of the final specification This Lot covers the supply of mobile devices for Yorkshire Water, including mobile phones and tablets, together with associated accessories where specified.
It is intended to support device replacement and new demand through the framework. Product specifications, approved models, fulfilment, warranty and any support requirements will be set out in the procurement documents. Connectivity, airtime or mobile network services are not included in this draft; add them only if they are part of Lot 5's specification.
