Overview
The final date and time for the submission of bids is Tuesday 26th January 2021 at 14:00 **DO NOT apply directly to the buyer.** All tender information MUST be submitted through the Delta eSourcing Portal. Brief Description of Requirement The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is carrying out policy work looking at how best to enable and coordinate Smart Data initiatives.
These are sector specific initiatives aiming to facilitate the secure sharing, upon request by the customer, of customer data with third party providers, who use this data to offer innovative services for the customer. This builds on the next steps announced in the Smart Data Review consultation response in September 2020 , and the launch of a cross-sector Smart Data working group.
The working group brings together regulators and government departments currently involved in Smart Data initiatives in energy, communications, finance and pensions (see the Terms of Reference for more details). The aims for the working group are to: • support the development and delivery of smart data infrastructure and standards for the benefit of consumers, particularly vulnerable consumers • where appropriate encourage commonality or consistency of approach across smart Data initiatives to enable interoperability and cross-sector innovations • improve efficiency by reducing duplication across smart data initiatives and re-using assets or resources from prior smart-data initiatives • develop practical recommendations for how smart data initiatives can be taken forward at pace.
