Overview
John Leggott Sixth Form College intends to procure student transport services for the provision of safe, reliable and efficient transport for students travelling to and from the College. The anticipated requirement will comprise scheduled morning and afternoon transport services operating across a number of routes serving the College's student catchment area.
The services are expected to include the provision of appropriately licensed and maintained vehicles and suitably qualified drivers, together with appropriate arrangements for safeguarding, passenger safety, service continuity, vehicle tracking and passenger management. The College is also considering requirements relating to vehicle standards and capacity, accessibility, environmental performance, onboard connectivity, College branding, operational communication, contingency arrangements and performance monitoring.
The precise routes, vehicle capacities, service requirements and contractual arrangements will be confirmed as part of any subsequent procurement process. Preliminary market engagement is intended to assist the College in understanding market capacity and capability, operational considerations and potential approaches to delivering the requirement. Any subsequent procurement opportunity will be subject to a separate formal procurement process.
