Overview
City of Wolverhampton Council on behalf of Black Country Transport are seeking an organisation to provide detailed design development. The A461 Corridor is spans the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.
The corridor forms part of the Major Road Network (MRN) and West Midlands Key Route Network (KRN) and has strong strategic importance for the movement of people and good and connections to the Strategic Road Network (SRN). This project will contribute towards the more efficient operation of the A461 by reducing demand and improving walking, cycling and public transport infrastructure along the corridor to encourage modal shift away from private vehicles.
