UK17 payments compliance notice
Published to report statistics on how promptly suppliers have been paid.
When it is published
The statistics cover six-month reporting periods for the contracting authority as a whole, not per contract. Must be published within 30 days of the end of each reporting period (31 March and 30 September). Not required for private utilities, schools or if Northern Irish rules apply.
What it means for suppliers
Check a buyer's payments compliance notices before you bid. How quickly it pays its suppliers matters to a small firm's cash flow as much as the contract price does.
