In its current form Calne Leisure Centre dates back to the 1980s and is in urgent need of modernisation and refurbishment. Once completed the facility will provide the community in Calne with the following:
- A completely redesigned village style wet changing area
- A modernised, refurbished, and extended Fitness Suite that will double the current floorspace
- A refurbished reception area, dance studio and dry changing area
- Increased efficiency ratings through the use of modernised internal building fabrics
- A reduced maintenance requirement
