Overview

Cheshire East Borough Council provides home adaptations and equipment in its discharge of its statutory duties to meet the needs of disabled people. Stair lifts, vertical lifts, step lifts, ceiling track hoists and gantry hoists are some of the solutions provided by the Council to enable a safe means of access into and around the home and for safe moving and handling.

To safeguard the users of the equipment and to prolong the equipment?s useful life, the Council has a requirement for the following tasks: Scheduled servicing of equipment; Responsive repairs and maintenance of equipment; Removal, refurbishment, storage and reinstallation of equipment; and Decommissioning of equipment. The Contracting Authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME's).

For the avoidance of doubt, the Contracting Authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender. Tenderers should note that this is to be Single Provider Call-off Contract and orders will be made by the Council as and when required.

Additional details

The Council makes no guarantee that any orders will be placed under the Agreements. The values given in this notice are only estimations and are for the initial contract period of 2 years and take into account the option to extend for up to a further 24 months - the Authority gives no guarantee or warranty or makes any representation as to the accuracy of any indicative volumes or as to the value of the work during the contract period.
