Overview
The Care Quality Commission ("CQC") is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. We make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and we encourage care services to improve.
CQC has been awarded nearly £500,000 from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy's (BEIS) Regulators Pioneer Fund to improve our regulatory approach to the use of technological innovation in health and social care. We propose to use up to £49,999 of this funding to procure an external supplier, who will deliver the initial phase of this project, known as the "research phase".
The supplier would be asked to deliver this work in a maximum of four months, from early January to early May 2019. The successful bidder is likely to be a supplier with specialist knowledge and expertise in innovation, preferably in the context of the health and social care sectors.
