Overview
We need to replace the Gwyn Hall’s main sound desk, which has recently failed and is no longer operational. The existing desk is over 15 years old, has reached the end of its serviceable life, and is no longer supported by the manufacturer, making repair impossible.
The sound desk is essential for all activity within the venue, including professional touring productions, live music, theatre performances, community events, educational activities, and conferences. As a key cultural venue serving Neath Port Talbot, Gwyn Hall provides opportunities for audiences, artists, schools, and community groups to engage with arts and culture.
Replacing the sound desk will ensure we can continue to deliver professional technical standards, support a diverse programme of events, and provide accessible, high-quality cultural experiences for our community for years to come. We invite you to quote for the following equipment which we feel is the right choice for us at the Gwyn which will allow us to deliver all the technical requirements for visiting and in house productions for years to come 1 Yamaha DM7 1 Theatre Software for Yamaha DM7 1 Flightcase for DM7 1 Yamaha RIO3224-D3 3 Yamaha RIO1608-D3 4 Cisco 16 port Network Switch Cisco C1300-16P-2G Catalyst 16-Port L3 Managed GbE PoE+ Access Switch w/2x 1G SFP Ports 1 Apple iPad for Control 1 Rack for 48/24 system - 10U 2 Rack for 16/8 systems – 4U 1 Panel Work for 3 racks Includes - Mains in + out DANTE in + out 4 Cat5 Cable - 2m 2 Cat5 Cable – 10m 2 Cat5 Cable - 20m
