Full Description

Theatr Brycheiniog invites suitably qualified contractors to submit tenders for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of a new integrated show relay, paging and voice announcement system.

The existing system dates from the opening of the building in 1997 and has now reached the end of its operational life. Parts of the current installation have failed, replacement components are no longer readily available and the system no longer meets the operational needs of a modern theatre.

The project forms part of a wider programme of capital investment to improve operational resilience, communication, accessibility and business continuity across the venue.The new system should:

  • Replace the existing end-of-life paging system.
  • Provide high-quality show relay through back of house areas
  • Improve operational communications.
  • Improve audience safety.
  • Improve staff communications.
  • Support day-to-day theatre operation.
