Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Refrigeration Equipment for New Flavoured Butter Operation

Requirement

Gower View Foods Ltd seeks quotations for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of refrigeration equipment to serve a chilled storage facility within a food manufacturing environment.

Scope of Supply

The successful supplier shall provide a complete refrigeration solution, including condensing units, evaporators, controls, refrigerant pipework, insulation, testing, and commissioning.

• Refrigeration System
• Supply and install 2 independent direct expansion (DX) refrigeration systems.
• Systems to be installed externally to the chill store.
• Refrigerant pipework services to be routed through the available building voids and connected to the evaporator units within the chilled area.
• Refrigeration capacity and equipment selection to be suitable for maintaining the required chilled storage operating temperatures.
• Condensing Units and Evaporators
• Supply and installation of external condensing units.
• Supply and installation of evaporator units within the chill store.
• Refrigerant control to be provided through electronic expansion valves.
• Equipment shall be suitable for operation within a food production and storage environment.
• Control System
• Supply and install a dedicated refrigeration control panel.
• Control panel to provide control and monitoring of all installed evaporator units.
• Temperature control to be achieved using return air temperature measurement.
• Control system to provide automatic operation and temperature regulation of the chilled environment.
• Refrigerant
• Refrigeration equipment shall utilise R513A refrigerant.
• Initial refrigerant charge shall be included within the quotation.
• Refrigerant installation and commissioning shall comply with all relevant F-Gas and refrigeration regulations.
• Refrigerant Pipework and Insulation
• Supply and installation of all refrigerant pipework required between condensing units and evaporators.
• Pipework insulation to be Armaflex or equivalent approved insulation material.
• Insulation installation to include complete sealing of all joints and interfaces.
• Insulation to be applied following successful completion of pressure testing and leak testing procedures.
• Testing and Commissioning
• Pressure testing of all refrigerant pipework.
• Leak testing and verification of system integrity.
• System charging, commissioning, and operational testing.
• Demonstration of satisfactory temperature control and refrigeration performance.
• Provision of commissioning documentation and operating instructions.
• Exclusions and Assumptions
• Any secondary structural steelwork required to support ceiling-mounted evaporators is excluded from this scope and will be provided by others.
• Suppliers shall identify any additional support requirements as part of their quotation.

Technical Requirements

• All equipment shall be new and suitable for commercial food manufacturing applications.
• Installation shall comply with all applicable UK legislation, F-Gas regulations, electrical standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Equipment shall be designed to facilitate cleaning, maintenance, and reliable long-term operation.

Quotation Requirements

Suppliers shall provide

• Detailed technical specification of the proposed equipment.
• Refrigeration capacities and design parameters.
• Details of refrigerant and control systems.
• Lead time for manufacture, supply, and installation.
• Warranty details.
• Total cost including delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and all associated materials.
• Details of any ongoing maintenance requirements or service agreements available.

Installation will take place at Gower View Foods Ltd, Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
