Overview
The Trustees of the National Library of Wales Staff Superannuation Scheme ("the Scheme") invite tenders from suitably qualified and experienced audit firms for the provision of independent audit services to the Scheme. The appointment will be for an initial period of four years, with an option to extend for a further three years.
The scheme administrator, WTW, prepares the financial statements to a high standard prior to audit, so no accounts preparation service is required. From time to time, the Scheme may need other advice, such as tax treatment (VAT especially) and please include details of these services in your tender. The Trustees are seeking an audit firm with demonstrable experience of auditing defined benefit occupational pension schemes and, in particular, schemes with investment arrangements involving pooled investment vehicles, liability-driven investment strategies, fiduciary management and Level 3/illiquid investments.
