Overview
Purchase of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is to continue on Cromer MCZ work in partnership with others to enable us to survey impacts of potting on subtidal chalk. This will help us provide more informed and proportionate advice to Eastern Inshore an Conservation Authority (EIFCA) on fisheries management and may influence our advice on potting in sensitive chalk habitats in other areas of the country.
The ROV is to replace divers and increase coverage of the area surveyed last year so that we can better understand extent and levels of impact in the site and work with industry and partners on how to mitigate them. Additional information: No specific contractual terms and conditions were used, instead an end user agreement was entered into between Natural England and the Supplier and Purchase Order raised linked to standard Terms and Conditions held on Natural England's Website (https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/natural-engla...).
