Overview
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced companies to manage the reprocessing and recycling of paper, card and mixed recyclates. The Authority has a number of bring banks which it is also seeking a collection service for and also runs a commercial recycling collection service for separated paper and cardboard.
The Supplier will be responsible for receiving, handling, treatment and the disposal of Recyclable Waste from Authorised Vehicles of the Authority or any agents acting on their behalf; The treatment, processing and where applicable, the bulk collection from the Primary Delivery Point of Recyclable Waste must be carried out to maximise the generation of Recycling and Products and thereby minimise waste disposal via landfill. In all cases the Primary Delivery Point will accept deliveries of Recyclable Waste from all four LOTs and will be located within a 10 mile radius of Barnsley Town Hall (Postcode: S70 2TA).
