PC04925 - Tinsley Art Project Phase 1 - Design
Sheffield City CouncilEstimated Value
Up to £40,000
Deadline

Published

Type

Overview
This commission is for a major public art work in the Tinsley Locks / Blackburn Meadows area of Sheffield. It is an exciting opportunity to create a significant work that is integral to the regeneration of an area that was once the heart of Sheffield's heavy industry and is rich with history and promise for the future.
Whilst the project is complex the brief is open and we are looking for a unique, creative and thrilling approach. Through the selection process we are looking for artists to put forward their approach to the project rather than a design which will develop, in the design stage, through the selected artist's understanding of the possibilities and realities of the project.
The application process is open to all and we are seeking applications from artists, artist teams, creative individuals and organisations. A single artist will be selected to develop the design and then, depending on the nature of the work, contracts will be awarded for its realisation.
