Overview
This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to notify the market of a potential procurement process to support the continuing delivery of the NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme from April 2026. The NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme is a joint initiative between NHS England and Diabetes UK.
The service supports individuals who are overweight / obese and recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes to achieve significant weight loss and potentially remission from their diabetes, using a total diet replacement approach alongside a structured programme of behavioural support. It can be accessed by eligible people in England through referral from General Practice.
Since 2023 a national framework of providers has been in place, from which contracts have been called off to deliver services in the 42 Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) in England. Register your interest through the Atamis e-sourcing portal https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome
