Overview
Renfrewshire Council requires the provision of a Rot Eradication and Treatment Contractor to provide specialist services for the surveying and treatment of Timber, rot, woodworm, infestation, and control of dampness to its Housing stock both to tenanted and void properties. Employer of a Contractor to carry out timber preservation and dampness control works.
The Scope of the Works includes, but is not limited to: timber preservation treatments, rot eradication works, damp proofing, mould remediation, disinfecting and sanitisation activities, anti-fungal and anti-microbial treatments, air sterilisation measures and associated remedial building works. The contractor must also be capable of undertaking associated trade activities including joinery, plumbing, electrical works, gas works, general building works and other ancillary repairs required to complete treatments and make good, affected areas.
The contract also includes mechanical ventilation measures, Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) systems, extract ventilation systems and associated ducting and servicing requirements in accordance with Renfrewshire Council's ventilation strategy and specifications. Works will be carried out within both occupied and void properties, including homes occupied by vulnerable residents.
Additional details
The contractor will be required to operate in accordance with specified investigation, reporting and repair timescales and maintain appropriate records, reporting and performance monitoring throughout the contract period. Additional information: The anticipated annual value of this Contract is 2,750,000 GBP.
