Overview
Bradford Council would like to formally invite you to attend a consultation event about our new approach to the provision of emergency, nightly paid, accommodation across the Council. Emergency accommodation is used to provide temporary housing for single people, couples and families who require accommodation at short notice.
While placements are typically short-term in nature, there will be occasions where accommodation is required for longer periods depending on individual circumstances and housing need. Through our Emergency Accommodation Framework, we are introducing a single, central accommodation framework through which all nightly paid, emergency accommodation provision will operate.
This represents a significant change to the way accommodation services are commissioned and will have a direct impact on all current providers of emergency accommodation. Providers who wish to continue delivering emergency accommodation services to Bradford Council should engage with this process and register their interest ahead of the formal procurement launch.
Key points
- Outline the proposed framework and operating model.
- Explain what these changes mean for accommodation providers.
- Provide an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification.
- Set out how providers can register their interest and participate in the forthcoming procurement process.
