The aim of this tender is to create a Framework Agreement maximum of three suitable Service Providers of Intellectual Property (IP) Services that can be used by the University to assess, capture and protect University-generated IP that has potential for assignment to Spin-out companies supported through the project.
The tender is to support the project with Intellectual Property services; these may include, but are not restricted to:
- Drafting and filing UK and international patent applications
- Prosecution of UK, PCT and international patent applications
- UK and international registered trademark guidance and applications
- UK and international registered design guidance and applications
- Freedom to operate analysis/searches
- Assignment of intellectual property rights
- Other relevant IP professional services as required
The intellectual property will be generated from across a diverse range of sectors
- Transport technologies
- Building technologies/construction
- Advanced manufacturing and advanced engineering
- Environmental technologies
- Applied materials
- Agri-tech/agriculture, food and drink
- Medical technologies
- Energy generation
- Defense and securities
