The Celtic Seas Partnership are developing a web portal as a resource for sea-users and interest groups, governments and scientists who want to know what information and data are available in relation to the MSFD descriptors in the Celtic Seas and how this can be used to deliver measures to achieve the Directive’s goal of ‘Good Environmental Status'. The web portal build is being led by the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) as part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) who is a partner in the Celtic Seas Partnership.
Part of the web portal will be a series of webpages allowing the user to explore the metadata on datasets relevant to each of the 11 MSFD Descriptors for the Celtic Seas. In addition to dataset metadata we wish to provide other information relevant to marine stakeholders to support management activities or Measures to achieve Good Environmental Status.
