Overview
Norfolk and Suffolk ICB and the University of Suffolk have established a new dental service at the University Waterfront's premises, a state-of-the-art dental facility which opened in February 2024. The service provides both access to NHS dental services for the local community and placements for undergraduate students at the University's BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
The ICB, working closely with the University, seeks to procure a provider to manage this service and guide its future development. The provider will therefore need experience in both NHS dental service delivery and supervision of students.
The ICB and University will hold market engagement sessions in July to provide potential bidders with further information and gain feedback from the market. The content of each session will be the same.
Eligibility & compliance
The successful provider will be required to deliver the services from the existing site (via a lease with the university) and will be required to host a minimum number of students placement hours each year.
