Overview
The Support Worker Service delivers support services to students who are eligible for Disability Support whilst studying at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU). The team is responsible for ensuring support is provided to students for both timetabled and non-timetabled activities and involves scheduling support workers, managing bookings and communicating to students and support workers.
SHU is interested in an off the shelf solution which requires minimum configuration but is open to a bespoke development which meets our requirements. The bespoke development would need to be completed, tested and deployed within a relatively short timescale however so this needs to be kept in mind.
SHU needs a system that allows us to maintain student and support worker records and use that data to facilitate effective support for appointments. This will ideally enable end users and support workers to interact with the solution via a web front-end.
