Overview
Nottingham City Council is looking to appoint a suitably experienced and competent contractor to undertake the decommissioning of the existing cremation plant and the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of the replacement cremation plant at Wilford Hill Crematorium, Loughborough Rd, Nottingham NG2 7FE, together with all associated services over the duration of the contract. The Crematorium must remain operational throughout the programme.
The works will therefore require careful planning, phasing, and coordination to ensure continuity of cremation services. The selected Contractor will enter into a long-term maintenance, servicing, and technical agreement of the cremation plant for up to 25 years, reflecting the anticipated lifecycle of the cremation plant. The maintenance contract will include break clauses at five-year intervals, exercisable at the Authority's discretion.
