Medium Complexity

This is an invitation to a market engagement event (not a live tender yet) run by NHS Coventry and Warwickshire for providers interested in bidding for a Pre Front Door Integrated Urgent Care Service. The NHS wants to gather feedback from experienced healthcare providers to help shape the final service design, financial model, and procurement strategy before they formally go to tender. The contract, once issued, will run for 5 years with an option to extend for another 5 years.

Requirements

  • Suitably experienced and qualified healthcare Provider status (specific qualifications detailed in draft service specification)
  • Must register interest by 17:00 on Friday 19th June 2026
  • Maximum 6 attendees per organisation at the in-person event
  • Must review the market engagement pack and draft service specification before attending
  • Subject to The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (not standard public procurement rules)
  • No specific technical or staffing qualifications listed in this notice — check the full market engagement pack for detailed requirements

Key Tasks & Deliverables

  • Attend in-person market engagement event on Wednesday 23rd June 2026 (13:00–15:00) at Shire Hall, Warwick to discuss service model and procurement strategy
  • Participate in optional 30-minute one-to-one MS Teams sessions on 24th or 25th June 2026 to ask questions about the service specification and procurement process
  • Review and feedback on draft service specification for Pre Front Door Integrated Urgent Care Service
  • Discuss financial model assumptions and sustainability with the NHS team
  • Provide input to help the NHS finalise their procurement strategy and service model

How to Read This Tender

  • 1This is a market engagement event, not a live tender — you're being invited to help shape the procurement, not bid for a contract yet. Attending does not commit you, but it gives you insider knowledge for when the real tender is published.
  • 2The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 apply here, not standard public procurement rules. This is NHS-specific and has different legal requirements — familiarise yourself with this regime if you're new to NHS contracts.
  • 3All information is draft and subject to change — nothing is locked in. The dates and timescales mentioned are indicative only, so don't assume the final tender timeline will match.
  • 4You must download and read the market engagement pack from the Atamis Health Family portal (project C452018) before the event. Go in prepared with questions — this is your chance to clarify ambiguities before bidding.
  • 5The registration deadline is tight (19th June 2026) and 1:1 sessions are first-come-first-served, so register early if you want a Teams call with the NHS team.

Tips for Small Businesses

  • Send your most senior/knowledgeable person to this event — you get only 6 attendees and this is your chance to understand the NHS's priorities, budget expectations, and pain points. Ask direct questions about contract value, staffing expectations, and performance metrics.
  • If you're a small provider without all the experience, consider forming a consortium or subcontracting partnership with a larger NHS provider before the real tender. Market engagement events are where big players scout partners — make yourself visible and network.
  • Request a one-to-one MS Teams session (24th or 25th June) in addition to attending the in-person event. Use this to ask detailed questions about social value scoring, quality metrics, and any specific areas where your organisation has unique strengths.
