The University is delivering the Mary Seacole Building decarbonisation project using funding secured through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS). The scheme proposes to undertake a targeted decarbonisation programme and comprises:
- Full design, supply and installation of a roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) array, including associated electrical works, inverters, metering, modifications to existing electrical network and lightning protection adjustments.
- Full design, supply and installation of building wide LED lighting replacement, covering approximately 2,200 internal luminaires and 48 external fittings, alongside upgrades to lighting controls, emergency lighting and associated making good of building fabric.
