Overview
Carmarthenshire County Council, in collaboration with regional partners Pembrokeshire County Council and Ceredigion County Council, is developing a regional framework for Working Age Adult Care Home Services across the West Wales region. The Lots are intended to support a more structured and consistent approach to commissioning across the region, ensuring that services can meet a range of needs for working age adults.
The proposed Framework will be open to: - Providers with existing care home provision within the region; and/or - Providers who intend to establish a care home service within the region within the next 12 months. (This means: • Securing or being in the process of securing suitable premises. • Obtaining planning permission (where required). • Registering or preparing to register with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). • Recruiting staff and developing operational arrangements. • Having a clear business plan and timetable for opening.) Providers joining the Framework will be required to demonstrate a commitment to supporting citizens from across the West Wales region and prioritising regional placements.
This procurement is being conducted as a Light Touch Contract under Section 9 of the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23). The Authority may, in accordance with the flexibility afforded under the Light Touch Regime (Section 9, PA23), undertake a refresh of this Framework at one or more intervals during the Framework Term.
