Overview

On 3.4.2019, the Home Office launched the Windrush Compensation Scheme. As part of this scheme, The Home Office is seeking suppliers to provide independent assistance for claimants needing support in completing their compensation claim forms.

Selection of this service is at the discretion of the claimant and is not a requirement for submission of the form. It is expected that the chosen supplier will be delivering this service by January 2020.

The service is required across the UK and must also provide an ability to support overseas individuals via telephone. Service users will be referred to the supplier via the Windrush Helpline, operated by the Home Office.

Contact & helpdesk

Prospective suppliers are invited to express an interest by emailing the Authority and providing the following information: - company name and details, - contact name and details, - UK VAT registration number (if applicable), - ability to provide the full service requirement to all locations: yes/no.

Additional details

A PIN was previously issued on 8.4.2019. This indicated that the service would not be split in to lots.

This strategy is under consideration and suppliers are now requested to register either: - to deliver the entire the service, or - to deliver a part of the service that is likely to relate to a geographical location. Additional information: In addition, the authority is intending to facilitate a supplier engagement event to be held during the week commencing 9.9.2019.

During this process, the authority will look to the participants to assist in refining their procurement strategy. If you wish to participate in this event, you should register your interest via e-mail to the same email address no later than 17.00 on the 23.8.2019.

The Authority uses an eSourcing toolkit to enable its sourcing activities to be conducted over the internet. Further documentation will be made available via the eSourcing portal.

Any organisation intending to submit an expression of interest must be registered as a supplier with the CCS eSourcing Portal (https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk). Please note this is a request for information only. The contracting authority does not undertake to enter into any contractual agreement on the basis of this notice
