Overview

This service would provide short term support to individuals going through emotionally challenging times. These would include family, parenting issues, financial issues with a view to improving their mental wellbeing and supporting them in accessing other, appropriate services as necessary.
Support workers would be accountable to the referring GPs and be available either within GP practices or working across a group of practices. If commissioned in this form, it is anticipated that the initial contract would be for one year (with the option to extend by up to a further year) and have an annual value in the region of £200,000.
