Overview
The Provision of Academic Support to the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) requirement will support a 3 x eleven-month courses at post-graduate level in international strategic studies with the possibility of a further, single option year. It focuses on security, stability and prosperity at the grand strategic level of governmental decisions, both nationally and within the international community.
The course follows the academic year, running from September to July. The Members (as students are called), predominantly but not only from military backgrounds, represent a broad experience base and are selected for their potential to reach the highest ranks of senior leadership and advisory posts in their own countries. The focus of study on the course is practical rather than theoretical.
