Overview
On 19 October 2016, the Secretary of State (SoS) announced improved guidance for moderation and that mandatory training would be provided for all local authority (LA) moderators. STA will undertake national LA moderator training for KS1 and KS2 English writing in order to deliver SoS's continued commitment.

The Requirement - To gather moderated pupil scripts for use in the designing of activities and professional discussions and these must be from when the current frameworks were introduced. - To produce activities and examples of professional discussions. These need to be done through a variety of delivery routes - including video. - To produce yearly standardisation exercises for potential moderators to be assessed.
