Overview
Derby City Council is seeking to award a service contract to a single provider for an Integrated Sexual Health Service. An Integrated Sexual Health Service provides individuals with open access to confidential, non-judgemental services including Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) testing, treatment and management; the full range of contraceptive provision; health promotion and prevention.
It should be noted that other local authorities and public sector bodies may use this contract indirectly. This will occur when out of area users receive a service from the successful service provider and their local authority is re-charged for the service provided.
The tendering of this contract may give rise to a possible presumption that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) 2006 regulations may apply in the event of this contract being awarded to a new Service Provider. Information relating to the Personnel currently employed by the incumbent Service Provider will only be disclosed to Tenderer's once they have signed the confidentiality agreement which can be found in appendix 8.
