Security and Crowd Management Services

Transport for Wales (TfW) is seeking qualified suppliers to express interest in providing professional Crowd Management/Control and Security Services for major public events and transportation station safety across its Wales and border network. The Supplier will play a central role in the planning, delivery, and ongoing development of all crowd management responsibilities across the railway network, alongside associated customer service functions.

This includes support for major events as well as a wide range of operational activities requiring a crowd management or customer service presence, such as significant engineering works, passenger assistance, lift outages, and any form of network disruption. The supplier will be expected to provide a fully integrated security service covering transport station oversight, incident response, and adherence to all relevant licensing and legal obligations.

This will span the entire Transport for Wales (TfW) network, including stations, depots, on‑train environments, and major events. The required services include on‑board security and patrols, station and depot patrols, management of anti‑social behaviour (ASB), emergency response and on‑call support, security checks at key locations, event security and crowd management, as well as specialist functions such as drone operations.
