Overview

This notice is to publish the award of the Fastrack B Bus Service which forms an integral part of the local area's transport offer providing essential access to key businesses, education, healthcare and shopping with employment opportunities in the Gravesham and Dartford area. The Fastrack network is well established and provides fast, reliable and efficient transport across Kent Thameside using a route which includes dedicated Busways and traffic priority measures within a growth area undergoing significant development and regeneration.

The service runs Monday to Sunday to a high frequency timetable with a Peak Vehicle Requirement of 12/13 vehicles to provide essential access to businesses, education, healthcare and shopping facilities. A high specification vehicle with minimum emission levels will maintain both a reliable service and brand reputation standards. The opportunity included running the Fastrack B Bus Service with the operator absorbing all operational costs, retaining all income from passengers, and paying the Council a fee per bus travelling on the specified Fastrack busway.
