Overview

The Bank of England ("Bank") is the central bank of the United Kingdom. The Bank is committed to promoting the good of the people of the United Kingdom by maintaining monetary and financial stability.

The Bank is the United Kingdom's resolution authority for banks, building societies, central counterparties and certain investment firms ("firms"). The special resolution regime (SRR), as defined through the provisions of the Banking Act 2009, is the process by which the authorities can intervene to manage the failure of a firm. The Bank is seeking framework suppliers to: • Provide those reports commissioned under s.83ZB of the Banking Act 2009, where those reports are contracted for directly by the Bank and not the individual firms; and • Provide other services as described further below to support the SRR objectives.
