Overview
In pursuance of the Council’s obligations as a waste collection and disposal authority the Council has awarded through competitive tender four contracts for the provision of Treatment and/or Disposal Services for Contract Waste. Consideration was also given to the proximity principle and the environmental impact of tenders when awarding the Contract(s).
Contract(s) for Lot 1 commenced on 1 October 2016 (“the Commencement Date”) and continue for a Term of 2 years, with a right for the Council to extend the Term on one or more occasions up to 31 October 2020. Contract(s) for Lot 2 commenced on 1 November 2016 (“the Commencement Date”) and continue for a Term of 2 years, with a right for the Council to extend the Term on one or more occasions up to 31 October 2020.
