Overview
The Isle of Wight Council invited quotes from suitably qualified providers for the refurbishment of the main hall roof at Bembridge Primary School. The contract is to run from 10 April 2017 for a period of six weeks completing on 19 May 2016.
A brief summary of the work is detailed below: • The contractor is to set up the necessary scaffolding / roof access to allow for the refurbishment of the main hall roof in a safe and correct manner. • The existing uPVC fascia and hopper outlets are to be removed and replaced with new. The existing perimeter upstand to the roof is to be built up to allow for an increase in insulation. • The existing roof surface is to be cleaned, all cracks repaired/filled before it is then prepared / primed as necessary to accept new built up felt roofing system complete with flat rigid board insulation. • New uPVC fascia is to be fitted on all sides of the roof.
The new roof finish is to terminate on the north and south side to the new aluminium hopper outlets. New down pipes are to be supplied on the north and south side of the roof (two outlets per side).
