The Grand Total area for both sections is 5,336m2 The Contractor shall allow in his programme for all milled surfaces to be inspected by the Engineer during daylight hours, in order that any areas of defective concrete or sub-base can be identified and remedial measures designed and implemented in advance of laying any SAMI or Binder courses. The Contractor shall make available during the day following any pavement milling, any such plant. materials, and labour that might reasonably be anticipated to be required to enable remedial works to be undertaken to defective concrete or other sub-base prior to the commencement of night works. Core results indicate the depth to concrete varies significantly throughout the scheme extents so the surfacing material and thickness of layers may change after the Engineer has inspected the concrete and sub-base areas after the milling has been completed.
