Birmingham Adult Education Service at Birmingham City Council (BAES) requires a supplier for the provision of the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training to a cohort of approximately 60 tutors. BAES is looking to ensure that their entire teaching workforce is qualified to a Level 5 and is therefore seeking to commission an education or training provider with a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating capable of offering the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training to tutors who don't currently hold a Level 5 qualification.
Providers submitting a tender should be able to deliver the qualification at the Brasshouse Language Centre, Library of Birmingham Floor 1 on a Friday pm, Friday twilight and possibly Saturday morning. This contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing 21 January 2019 until 18 December 2020.
The delivery of the Diploma should be practice-based, underpinned by the teaching theory that makes best use of the tutors' experience in the classroom. The programme should include tutorials, an introductory session and enrichment activities for tutors taking part in the course.
