Overview

The London Borough of Waltham Forest seeks to commission Carers Support Services. The new service will be based on three key elements of carers support, which includes outreach, advocacy and well-being.

Outreach and Advocacy Services will be combined in the form of neighbourhood advocates who will work within localities to signpost carers to local services and provide practical support.. Well-being sessions will take the form of peer lead support groups, information and training sessions. It is the intention of the council to award the contract for the period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further one year period.
