Overview

The Care Quality Commission (“CQC”) is inviting Expressions of Interest in a potential requirement for the provision of e-services for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. CQC would welcome expressions of interest from approved e-Broker organisations who can: • Offer an e-bulk platform to facilitate the administration of DBS checks electronically; • Provide bespoke ID checking services for staff; and • Provide management information reporting to enable CQC to manage, verify and track all applications within the checking process including initial confirmation, in order to establish if a check is clear or contains information.

When responding, please confirm your organisation's name and contact details. Please note that at this stage CQC only wishes to gather expressions of interest only in this potential service requirement - this Prior Information Notice is not a call for tenders or a pre-qualification exercise.

It has been developed to provide CQC with information to potentially inform future service requirements which CQC may pursue. The Prior Information Notice has been generated solely for the purposes of inviting expressions of interest, and may not reflect any information which may ultimately be presented in any potential future tendering exercise.

Contact & helpdesk

To express an interest, please send an e-mail (quoting reference CQC PER 018) to commercialcontracts@cqc.org.uk .
