The provision of the services will enable the Commissioners to maintain access to good quality primary medical care for their populations. Improving patient outcomes are focal points of the procurement of healthcare services within NHS Coventry & Rugby CCG & NHS Warwickshire North CCG.
In line with the national strategy, the Commissioners intend to work with primary care providers to mobilise a new model of pro-active preventative care, develop an urgent care offer that provides a coherent, streamlined locally accessible and convenient alternative to accident and emergency services for patients that do not require hospital care and to equip the workforce to deliver excellent patient centred care, whilst recognising the geographical spread of the contracts and the emerging importance of Primary Care Networks. The Commissioners are looking to appoint Providers that wish to engage fully in this agenda.
