Overview
This Request for Proposal Single Stage (RFP1) sets out the Trust’s situation and objectives. The Trust is seeking bids from a range of Bidders as to their capacity, capability, economic standing and relevant experience, as well as their proposed solution and price for meeting the requirements of the Opportunity.
The Trust are looking to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced peatland restoration contractor, to undertake a series of restorative practices across defined areas of Abergwesyn common, Powys. Works will include installation of dams and bunds, peat hagg reprofiling and the cutting and subsequent spreading of vegetative material to mulch large bare peat extents.
It is required that the selected contractor will transport all provided materials required for works out onto the common and to each defined work area. Further details on the Opportunity can be found in Part 2 – Situation and Target Outcomes. Bidders will bear their own costs, and seek appropriate advice, for the preparation of their response.
