Overview
Following a positive recommendation from the UK National Screening Committee and a successful pilot scheme, the Welsh Government has committed to and funded a national lung cancer screening programme scheduled for rollout in April 2028. To deliver this initiative, Public Health Wales wish to appoint a Supplier to provide a managed Participant Administration System (PAS) that will coordinate the end-to-end patient journey.
The system will efficiently operate a screening pathway that uses risk prediction models (LLPv2 and PLCOm2012) via telephone appointments and mobile CT units, safely manage patient handovers to treatment and smoking cessation services, and maintain accurate records for audits. The PAS will offer robust interoperability to seamlessly integrate with existing NHS Wales tools, databases, and data-sharing networks.
