Overview
This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice and relates only to a pre-procurement market engagement event. The aim of the School Aged Immunisation service is to prevent school aged children from developing vaccine preventable childhood diseases that are associated with significant mortality and morbidity.
Commissioners are looking for providers to deliver a high quality service within the chosen Lot areas. The provider will be commissioned to deliver the NHS MenACWY adolescent booster, Td/IPV, HPV immunisation programmes, MMR catch up and childhood influenza for children aged 4, 5, 6, 7 -8 (school years reception, 1, 2, 3 and 4) of sufficient quantity and quality to prevent the infections and outbreaks caused by these organisms.
This means achieving high levels of coverage across England as well as within upper tier local government areas and within the context of populations with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010. The service provider(s) will need to be adaptable to any new or changes to national programmes.
