Overview
RESPONSE BY DATE - Wednesday 31 March 2021 NHS Devon CCG (the Commissioner) would like to invite providers to attend a series of virtual (using MS Teams) market engagement events regarding the provision of an Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUCS) for Devon. The contract will be for the provision of: • 111 call handling services (NHS 111) • Clinical Assessment of 111 calls through the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) • Out of Hours GP provision (OOH) This notice marks the beginning of Devon's CCG's process for procurement for this service, starting with a market engagement exercise commencing in April and leading into a scheduled ITT date in August.
The expected contract start date is no later than October 2022, with an 8-month mobilisation period prior to that start date. This notice is not a call for competition in its own right, and a subsequent notice will be placed at the point of call for competition.
This notice and series of events builds upon the previous market engagement questionnaire undertaken in November 2020 with a closing date of 9 December 2020 and notice SCW/NHS99PCCG/00001234/2020. The events will offer insight on current thinking and our direction of travel for what we want the services to look like for the future.

Additional details
The series of events will provide you as prospective bidders an opportunity to shape and inform both our thinking and your thinking and potential partnerships within the market. The events will be structured into themes in a series of engagements supplemented with push notifications of key documents and thinking by way of leadership videos and background stories so you will be able to understand the specifics of delivering services to the Devon landscape.
Detailed schedules and itineraries will be provided concerning themed breakout rooms, where the commissioner wishes to encourage you to engage in initial conversations with prospective partners and the commissioners. A series of breakout spaces will be available for you to book and explore these discussions confidentially should you wish.
We will run a FAQ message board where clarification thoughts are uploaded to help inform your thinking as you progress and assist in between the event series. We will share patient stories on user experience, desires and draft specification documents through our secure tendering portal (In-tend).
To register an interest and attend the virtual market engagement events, interested parties are asked to register on the commissioners e-procurement portal via the following link: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/scwcsu/aspx/Home. To enhance the engagement series, we welcome your continual feedback, and to refine our schedule of topics.
