Overview
Solent Transport - a partnership between Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council, Southampton City Council and Isle of Wight Council - has received funding from the Department for Transport as part of it successful Future Transport Zone bid to develop and launch a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform. The role of contracting authority/entity and sourcing agent will be undertaken by Portsmouth City Council ('the council') on behalf of Solent Transport.
The project is funded until 2024, beyond which it is targeted that the platform will be financial self-sustaining on a rolling basis and ideally provide an ongoing income stream which can be shared by the parties. The target date for launch of the platform is July 2021 following a procurement exercise to secure a MaaS development partner by March 2021.
Solent Transport has outlined the project aims, draft specification as well as the contracting and tendering strategies and commercial model. The initial proposition pack is available in the document set on this portal.

Solent Transport is offering confidential 1-2-1 feedback consultation meetings with interested parties.
