Learning and Development Framework Agreement

To deliver: Full First Aid at Work certified learning events at two levels: - First Aid at Work (FAW) - a three-day event which is valid for three years and which can be re-validated by a two-day event every three years; and - Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - a one-day event which needs to be re-validated with a similar event every three years. Plus specialist, certificated First Aid learning events as follows: - Emergency First Aid for Babies and Children (0-8 years); and - First Aid learning module for those working in arboreal services i.e the Forestry module.

Plus an additional First Aid awareness learning for Taxi Drivers (non-certified course). To deliver: - Epilepsy Awareness and Emergency Medication Administration (Buccal/oromuscular Midazolam) - Anaphylaxis Awareness and Emergency Medication Administration (Adrenaline Auto-Injector, AAI).

This learning is required to be delivered to front-line Health and Social Care colleagues to support job role practice and skills. It is also required to be delivered to other Council services who work with adults and children who have Epilepsy or who are at risk of Anaphylaxis and who require the administration of emergency medications.

Learning will focus on delivering consistent, positive Customer Service that avoids or de-escalates conflict wherever possible. It will provide Council colleagues with the skills required to identify when an interaction may become challenging, and how to take steps to reasonably reduce the risk of it escalating into conflict.

The requirement is for colleagues who manage face to face as well as phone or digital interactions. Part of the learning required is confident skills in Debriefing and Trauma Aware Customer Service.

This Lot will cover learning which supports and challenges our public sector middle leaders in the following themed areas: 1. Complex Decision Making: Navigating uncertainty and responding to changing environments, including legislative and regulatory, whilst using effective frameworks to inform strategic and operational decision making, enhance efficiency and reduce risk. 2.

Navigating, and leveraging the political landscape: Adapting to changing political environments through stakeholder engagement, strong partnership working with proactive approaches to communication and collaboration to enhance delivery of organisational priorities and continual embedding of our behaviours. 3. Sharpening and strengthening Leadership Practice: Emphasising leadership mindsets to support and challenge leaders to revisit their leadership style and practice, to increase their self-awareness with a focus on delivering trust and leading thriving teams that deliver against our strategic priorities and to enhance leadership of inclusive and relationship-based cultures and strategic impact.
