Overview
The proposed works comprise demolition of existing reinforced concrete bankseats of footbridge (existing footbridge has been removed previously), construction of reinforced concrete bankseats for replacement cycle bridge and fabrication and installation of a steel truss cycle bridge. The proposed footbridge is to be adjacent to Kingston Railway Bridge and is to bear on to the existing Network Rail abutments that are used by Kingston Railway Bridge.

This will minimise any impact to Network Rail infrastructure. This includes off site fabrication of the superstructure in factory conditions, which reduces work on site and, in particular, work at height.
